A Dangerous Absurdity
Requiring Notice
My post of 30 Mar 25 mentioned the 27 Mar 25 executive order calling for “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History.” I did scan the order. My defense for missing the mention of an assault on political correctness of the National Zoo is simple. And, I believe, both understandable and forgiveable.
My gag reflex went so wild so early on that my eyes watered and my reading comprehension skills fainted dead away.
Had I stayed in the chase, I certainly would have included some sense of wonder at the notion that Vice-President Vance could be trusted with more responsible conduct toward the National Zoo than:
1. Threatening to invade Greenland; or,
2. Discussing military attack plans in the Red Sea on international hot mic (Signal).
The Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute occupies 163 acres within capital city’s beautiful Rock Creek Park. It contains over 2,200 animals representing almost 400 different species. Admission is free (until now.)
The administrative attack on our national park system makes me worry about the continuing health and welfare of the creatures held in custody at the national zoo. My concern overrides my tendency to poke fun at congressional hearings with animals of suspect nationality, a tendency toward gender fluidity, and/or disapproved mating habits.
Anthem
It is up to We the People dissatisfied with the results of Election 2024 and its consequences to stay alert and mindful. This is hard duty. We have only fellow travelers to notice and applaud our sustained effort to resist implementation of the Project 2025 playbook.
The administration will continue to “flood the zone” of our attention with edicts, actions, and opinions ranging from disgusting and disingenuous to down-right dangerous. It saps the will and tests the soul to notice and resist each assault on our spirit, our identity, our health, our safety, our welfare, our inalienable rights, and our good humor.
Life of and on our precious planet is balancing on the hinge of history.
Each of us will decide how we want to remember ourself in this time of trial.
I say the tide is turning to the favor of liberty and freedom.
Fair wind and following sea to every person using their presence and their purse to delay, deny, disassemble, and destroy implementation of Project 2025.
So that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth on our watch.
Go, team, go.

Oh no! Not the animals!! They are the only sane ones in D.C.!
