Happy Days
For Xi
Donald John Trump attended classes at a prestigious university. What he studied is less important than what he managed to find useful. Certainly not history. Or geography. Or ethics.
Our Mad King is allowing Xi to outflank him. While he plays footsie with Putin, China is flowing into every aid, power, and market position Trump abandons or ignores. And the members of BRIC-S are laughing at our tactical Election 2024 error.
“You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth.” Winston Churchill
Forget Freedom
Our Supreme Court effectively bullet-proofed Trump during his angry interregnum. He can and does ignore any part of our founding documents and his oath of office which does not feed his fragile ego or line his ever-avaricious pockets. It is no wonder that he blows right past Thomas Jefferson’s observation that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. As long as he has his, the rest of us (aka ”suckers”) can pound sand.
Remember Being Vulnerable
In 1956, my 35-year-old mother instructed me to break the rules for national security. In favor of family survival.
Russia detonated its first true hydrogen bomb on 22 Nov 1955.
Our stunned government instructed public educational systems to have students practice hiding under their desks to avoid exposure to radioactive contamination. And we did. Our eyes were as large as serving platters as we peered at each other from positions of protection even we knew were purely stupid. More rational minds grabbed that foolishness by the throat and threw it into evacuation practice drills.
By the rules of that process, each mother was to take the family car to a line outside the elementary school her child attended. Teachers would load as many kids into each car as it safely would hold. Mothers then would drive the children away from the kill zone.
In the practice drills, the mothers were not required to drive very far. Just to a designated assembly area.
Well, my mother had a baby in kindergarten, a child in the 5th grade, and me, around the corner, in junior high school. I do not recall if my age group was scheduled for rescue or death. It never came to that.
My mother took me to one side one night. She explained the rules. She would follow them. I was instructed to leave my campus, go to the elementary school, find my sisters, pull them away from custody and supervision, and find a car that would take the three of us away.
“After I do my duty, I will find you,” she told me.
She did not have to do so.
The test drill was such a clown act that the evacuation option was abandoned in favor of thoughts, prayers, and backyard fallout shelters.
Lessons Learned
The takeaway here is—your government may not meet its obligations to you when it forgets or ignores Thomas Jefferson.
It’s up to each of We the People with any love of country and an active survival instinct to recognize and use our indivisible and unconquerable Power of One. To use our person and our purse every day in every legal way to pay freedom’s price—to delay, deny, disassemble, and destroy implementation of Project 2025.
Hiding under our desk or drilling for an ill-conceived evacuation plan is not recommended.
Persist.
1. Demand your elected representatives to come alive and honor their oath of office. Open a Second Front of awareness and comment. Identify persons of good character and relevant expertise to form a Shadow Cabinet. Use this back bench tradition to be ready to resume governance immediately on an informed basis. For now, these persons daily will track and push back against questionable and illegal incursions compromising the common defense, general welfare. national unity, and personal rights and liberties of the governed.
2. Insist upon criminal charges against Elon Musk.
3. Require a third set of Articles of Impeachment be brought against Donald John Trump.
Prevail.
That government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish on our watch.
Trump is breaking old rules. Go through the breaches to create a more perfect union.

I have been inviting these folks to form that Shadow Cabinet: Andrew Weissman, Adam Kensinger, Pete Buttegeig, Joy-Ann Reid, Liz Cheney, Alexander Vindeman, and to include others like General Mark Milley, Jack Smith, Beto O'Rourke, and similar community activists. Pete said yesterday morning that he had time to take some questions yesterday afternoon. I seem to have lost that thread, though. Too many connections!
How is threatening Americans with the withdrawal of life, freedom, and the ability to move about safely--how is that making us great? It's making us less productive because for the first time in my 50 years of voting, I have to call my Congressmen.... EVERY day, to ask them to do their job.
I didn't have to do that before now. That's millions of people and millions of hours taken away from going to work and doing productive, creative things and, instead, chase after Congress and nag them to do their job. Economics 101 says that puts us in a tailspin to a crash.
Nobody is coming to save us, so it's individuals acting in every way to push back, resist bullying, and put our money where our rights (see Bill of Rights) are respected by person or business wanting our money and our time.
