Donald John Trump once boasted “I could murder someone on 7th Ave, in front of witnesses and not lose a single vote of my base." If that someone was named “Law,” then Election 2024 elevated him to the status of a made man. Not to put too fine a point on the matter, he currently is raping a lady named “Liberty.”
In a grotesque turn of history, he has, after the fashion of Napoleon, by his own hand crowned himself king in a country dedicated to the proposition that all persons are created equal. And in the role of sole ruler, without reference to the law of the land or the will of We the People, he made a separate peace (of mutual benefit) with a tyrant determined to reassemble the Soviet Union in form and power.
The current march of the Western world toward another global conflict makes one reassess missed opportunities for peace leading up to WWII. We seem to find ourselves once again wanting to believe we can pacify a toxic personality with an expansionistic agenda who we cannot justify terminating. We again are contemplating capitulation instead of defiance. Proponents of freedom are taking a duplicitous knee to tyranny. France and Great Britain are joining Ukraine in a united effort to pacify Donald John Trump into brokering a “just and lasting peace” between Russia and Ukraine. In tone and in strategy, this position is more pathetic than Chamberlain’s doomed hope for “peace in our time.”
This is not diplomacy.
This is a dark alley shake-down performed in broad daylight on a very main street. It is the handing over one’s wallet promptly to avoid bodily harm.
Some of We the People have no choice in the matter. We must articulate our sense of outrage at the high-handed (and so far, successful) betrayal of our founding principles.
1. By the huckster who would be king.
2. By a cowed congress just begging for recall referendum actions to catch their attention and direct their efforts.
3. By a Supreme Court destined to be remembered for its corrupt nature and dubious rulings.
Just because the Mad King raided the Kennedy Center does not mean the fat lady is ready to sing. It ain’t over ‘til it’s over. We are not even to intermission yet.
Let us continue to use our persons and our purses every day in every legal way to deny, delay, dismantle, and destroy implementation of Project 2025.
Lest us persist.

The Republican Administration and the Heritage Foundation have staged a coup of the United States of America. All the participants are liable under the 14th Amendment, Section 3, which states:

Section 3 Disqualification from Holding Office
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
We need to rattle some Democrats' emails and offices and march to demand their removal, along with the Administration's. I'll take Jeffries as President over Johnson, once the Republicans are removed! Here is the current order of succession:

Once the House flips (OR on April 1st if you have donated to the two people running for Congress in Florida: Josh Weil and Gay Valimont), Johnson is no longer 3rd in line.

Your points are powerful and make clear the distinction of "alert and aware" and "attention" When there is a predator or dangerous situation, that calls for alert, aware, plus an escape plan or emergency kit already assembled. Attention on the other hand is our power. Attention is the only thing Trump has obsessed over and practiced daily. Attention is what we can choose to give or not. As for me, I choose to give my attention to my health, family, nature, and community. I choose to give NO attention to social media or any speeches or broadcasts with or about Trump, Vance, Musk, and their sycophants. I've given attention to every State of the Union Address since President Eisenhower. I'll not give attention to Trump. I already know his speech will be like every time he opens his mouth--lies and nothing constructive.
