Thinking Inside the Box
Outside the box is where Donald John Trump romps, cons, plunders, cheats, and betrays. We are at a disadvantage on his field of corrupt dreams. He was born outside the box of constraints which contains the rule of law outlined in our founding documents.
He calls those of us who play fairly and live authentically “suckers.” He views our simple faith in each other as a stupid vulnerability. He is very angry at attempts made during his interregnum to call him into account for his crimes and misdemeanors before, during, and after his first term in high office.
He describes himself as a “stable genius.“ He claims to be the product of a very fine education. Clearly, no one explained the words “irony” and “hubris” to him. Or, if they did, the information was not useful to him. How else could he, after 3 weeks of attacking the framework and function of Fortress America, invite assassination when he proclaims “He who saves his country does not violate any laws.” The doofas meant it as a self-pardon.
He is counting on his heretofore successful “double down” strategy to see him safely past the fact and consequences of his traitorous 90-minute conversation with Putin last week
Maybe not this time.
We the People are under active attack. We likely will have to endure a punishing period of prolonged siege.
One of J.R.R. Tolkien characters warned “Winter is coming.” Well, ours is here. I say, stick to our knitting inside our box of laws and customs. We’ll need those sweaters, mittens, and scarves of resistance to keep us warm. As we defend our stronghold.
Do not misunderstand me. I am not suggesting we adopt a passive attitude. Inside our box of freedom, let us exercise our ability to innovate our way around any obstacle. Let us cause good trouble on the Mad King’s flanks and rear. Let us call into being a shadow cabinet. Let us cause a third set of Articles of Impeachment. Let us demand criminal charges be brought against Elon Musk.
Let us cherish and strengthen those of We the People already in our four-sided box. The one with sides of faith and hope and resolution and mutual regard.
Let us remember to beware the infamous Trojan horse ruse. The war is not over just because the tumult dies and the attacking force disappears from immediate sight. Use your memory of history’s lessons to defy and defeat those who gamely and gladly go where angels fear to tread.
Each of We the People has an inalienable Power of One.
Together we are invincible.
Let us each and all use our person and our purse every day in every lawful way to refuse, resist, and destroy Project 2025.
Let us not just survive the Mad King’s Reign of Terror.
Let us prevail against it.
Thank you for your wisdom and leadership. On the plus side, We the People understood we would need Plan B, Plan C, and escape tunnels if Trump got a shot at implementing Project 2025. Call it smarts, resilience, or resistance. The voters who believed the lies that Trump would fix all of their problems are the ones who will be most upset and forceful when the pain and betrayal reaches their job, their family, and their freedoms.
Thank you for this, Susan. We the People + contacting our representatives. So good to see so many people speaking up, marching in the streets, holding signs at state capitols. We can each do our part.
