Keep the Faith
Neither Bow Nor Break
Don’t be silly. Project 2025 is not through with its assault on the foundation and form of the barely United States of America. Its Chaos Puppet, King Trump, is raving through a power high, having the time of his irredeemable life.
The rollout process is a series of body blows to the rule of law and common decency. The purposeful disruption of normal practice and customary conduct feels historic and it very likely is.
I believe it is the duty and privilege of We the People who lost Election 2024 to keep faith with founding principles. To believe that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are inalienable rights in our country. That government of, by, and for the people should not, will not, perish from the earth on our watch.
I submit that it is vitally important to resist the temptation to engage evil on its own turf using similar tactics. Do not become the enemy.
I urge you to contain your dismay and contempt regarding the anticipatory surrender of independence and power by legacy media organizations, dominant social media platforms, leading index industries and enterprises, every self-serving member of congress, and John Robert’s clearly corrupt Quisling Court.
I suggest you consider adopting the winning battle strategy of the humble reed. Bend before a strong wind. Know and embrace what you are.
And, no, bending is not bowing. Bending is accommodation, not capitulation. Bending is not surrender of form or nature. Bending is a strategy for maintaining integrity, health, and purpose.
Bending is the art of unarmed resistance to the threat or application of lethal force. against one’s person or principles.
Bending denies the threat its intended victory of destruction.
Luke 4.23
Jesus lacked credibility in his home town of Nazareth. He famously challenged that resistance by suggesting that those who claim to have solved a problem should apply that solution to themselves first.
Common Sense
When confronted with a physical, procedural, or philosophic challenge, my middle sister follows good air safety practice—she puts on her oxygen mask before assisting others with theirs.
Bending More Closely Discussed
As used metaphorically in this article, bending is all about self-regard and-care. Wounded or exhausted warriors are routinely removed from active battle stations. Respected thought leaders with large Substack followings (Robert Hubbell at Today’s Edition Newsletter, Dan Rather at Steady) have urged their readers to rejuvenate themselves physically, financially, and emotionally after the bruising Election 2024 loss. The time is ripe for whole and walking wounded members of Resistance 2025 to resume battle stations.
It is the duty and the privilege of each returning patriot to be one in a field of smart strong reeds. To bear witness to and resist damage by each incoming gust of noisome Project 2025 edicts.
To use the power of person and purse to resist Project 2025 every day in every lawful way.
Not to just survive.
To prevail.
