Oooh, so many great posts. This may have moved to #1 and I'll be restacking and moving this to everyone who ever came from a womb. Add my highlighter and underscore to what Abigail and Russell said.

I was JUST thinking this morning about how the population of our nation will be severely depleted by the deportation of immigrants and the discrimination against women. Both of my daughters decided not to have children. Not going to continue my line in the family tree. The more women see how their fellow citizens - men and WOMEN for heaven's sake! - pass legislation that controls their bodies, the more women will eschew motherhood. After all, being a mom is a TON of work, sacrifice, and heartache. Why put yourself through that. In fact, marrying a man is a TON of work, sacrifice, and heartache. Men are going to begin to wonder why no one wants to be around them. Clueless idjits. As our population declines, the government receives less income. It will really suck to be them with all the billionaires having emptied the U.S. Treasury.

A brilliant piece of writing as usual Susan - clear thinking and forceful. I am concerned that the bedrock of a democracy - the separation of powers is being (has been) hacked away by Trump 2. The judiciary are an essential part of the checks and balances. In simplistic terms it is the old stone-scissors-paper game. If you take away the effectiveness of one, the others are unstoppable. So far, at least our judiciary is intact over here and long may it be so. Anyone who has seen a High Court Judge in action will know that even strong men go weak at the knees if a judge even so much as looks disapproving! Long may it remain.
