Donald John Trump styles himself as a Peace Maker. He is not. He is a Peace Breaker and a Piece Maker.
He is a clear and present existential danger to humanity and our precious planet.
He is an old, weak, callous, and corrupt self-serving white man lacking any discernable moral compass. His insecurities make him vulerable to manipulation by persons and institutions blessed with better intellect and/or greater power.
His baffling admiration of Vladmir Putin has caused him to denounce and betray covenants and customs which for 80 years have balanced world peace on a knife edge of mutual regard, civil debate, and soft diplomacy.
Europe is rearming to protect itself from Putin for sure, China maybe, and each other as the occasion arises and circumstances dictate. This is a seriously bad turn of events. It is a chilling reminder that plowshares are better than swords.
Dumpster Fire Donny does not seem to have, want, or need a solid grasp on how macroeconomics, international politics, and climate change groom the battlefield. He is a thug, not a strategist. Intimidation and coercion are the tools of his very poor transactional strategy to hold and exercise a position of domination. His tariff tandrum has left Europe rattled and America compromised.
Ding Dong Donny pitched for America First. His fast ball, knuckle ball, spit ball, curve ball, bean ball, and slider did not fool the heavy hitters or impress the umpires. He has made a perfect hash of global trading relationships. America is far from First now.
Resistance 2.0 Action Options
What to do with the Mad King?
1. Impeachment requires a responsible and responsive congress. Peaceful public protests, bouycott purchasing habits, and empty seat town hall meetings are working toward that objective.
2. Amendment 25 offers a risky off ramp. It trades the devil we know for a deep bench of conservative partisans unlikely to revoke or remedy the damage done by DOGE.
Bumper stickers, tee shirts, backpacks, and travel mugs support Option 2. They point to Psalm 109.8 as a worthy thought. (“Let his days be few and brief. Let others step forward to replace him.”)
3. Let him stew in his own juices. He is becoming an object of relentless and effective ridicule and resistance.
He is easy prey to more successful predators. China and Russia are openly disrespecting him. They leave him listening to elevator music when he tries to cause a conversation. They delight in his reflexive whining and pleading. They issue immediate and strong denials of any claims he makes that meaningful dialog with him has occurred. He is losing face at home and abroad.

Like any playground bully, Double Down Donny canot take what he hands out. He threatens to visit grievous harm upon any person, institution, or principle limiting or denying his desires and demands. When he is challenged, he retreats. Impossible promises are recast as jokes. Irresponsible actions slide right off the Teflon Don.
He is a decent mob boss. He buffers himself from direct responsibility for criminal actions taken at his behest by subordinates. He demeans and double deals. For example, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is an Oval Office prop piece. Steven Charles Witkoff (Trump’s golfing buddy) is the guy meeting privately and repeatedly with Russia, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle East rulers to further the Mad King’s self-serving piece plans.
Ding Dong Donny refuses to admit error or defeat. He lies to himself, to his true believers, and any reporter in his vicinity. He claims his deals are done and won. He promises that secret successes soon will become public knowledge. Do not hold your breath while waiting for truth and proof of his claims.
China, North Korea, and Russia have nuclear weapons, space expoitation programs, and aggressive digital/AI programs. Putin has put the possibility of using nuclear weapons on the table. Double Down Donny strikes back hard when wounded or threatened.. He has shown a tendency to resort to force where words fail. It is fearful to consider that he may not understand he cannot call back any unfortunate results of fumbling the nuclear football in a fit of pique.
Hats off to those who are planning, supporting, and attending visible signs of a growing resistance to Trump 2.0. And all honor and glory to the educational institutions, lower court justices, politicians, lawyers, journalists, and media spokespersons defying implementation of the illegal aspects of the Project 2025 playbook.
These are interesting times. We the People now must wait for the next exciting chapter in the Clash of the Titans (between the imperial executive and his corrupt high court). Will the 7-2 margin of sanity and sound jurisprudence hold? Will Thomas and Alito be allowed to continue to participate? Stand by time on these questions likely will be brief.
It is important to remember that Donald John Trump believes “only the weak will fail.”
Let us continue to be faithful, strategic, and strong in our resistance to the fact and effects of his Reign of Terror and Tour of Revenge.
Let us continue to pull up our socks and step into the breach now, every Power of One person dissatisfied with the results and consequences of Election 2024.
Let us continue to put into play our persons and our purses to demand:
A return to positions of principle those persons, institutions, and organizations betraying a public trust in their integrity when bending a knee, kissing the ring, funding the personal wealth, or furthering the ambitions of Donald John Trump.
The bringing of criminal charges against Musk and articles of impeachment against Trump.
Resumption of support of Ukraine, NATO, WHO, IMF and related international organizations and accords dedicated to the proposition of global peace, health, and prosperity.
The bringing of articles of impeachment against corrupt justices now contaminating the opinions of the high court.
Referendum and recall of congressional representatives not faithful to their oath of office and/or unresponsive to the concerns and wishes of their constituents.
Creation of a Shadow Cabinet charged with daily briefings of administrative assaults upon the rule of law, the health, safety, and welfare of We the People, and simple decency.
Course correction on the conduct of matters related to national security.
I truly believe that right is might.
Resist. Persist. Prevail.
In a world where “only the weak will fail,” let us continue to be strong.

The more Trump's destruction touches more voters, the closer we get to a movement. This is a 2025 version, and I trust the culture. Two factors in our favor: Lived Experience and Generational Wealth. Data shows the massive shift of wealth from boomers to their children, grandchildren, favorite charities and causes (Forbes: The Great Wealth Transfer From Baby Boomers To Millennials Will Impact The Job Market And Economy). The same people with the wealth have put in the time and work on movements and can teach us all how this works. Robert Reich shows we have the history and ability to find better paths forward when he says this about movements: "Well, it was possible in civil rights and anti-Vietnam, and we accomplished a great deal. And the women's movement was really also a major movement. Why is it so hard to take on Trump?"
