Donald John Trump causes amnesia. Persons, pundits, and politicians exposed to his mendacious ways lose more than select memories. They surrender a portion of their survival instinct when they drink his toxic brew of self-serving aggrandizement.
Effects of the Draught
One common reaction is fear. Another is corruption. Complicit conduct is common. Whether out of fear or because seeking favor, the will is weakened and the soul is compromised. Rationality is hobbled. Decency becomes passe. Decit is the good coin of his hideous realm. Duplicity is contagious and no one is allowed to mask against its spread.
A blind eye benefits in the court of the Mad King.
Courtiers and critics alike display obvious signs of willful ignorance or terrified oblivescence. Everyone in contact with the guy suffers from the effects of a reflexive lowering of intelligence quotient. Trump Talk is baby talk. Trump Thought is Orwellian in nature.
His is a land of lawlessness and disorder. Chaos is his consort.
Code Blue
This code is used when an adult patient is experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, such as cardiac or respiratory arrest.
It indicates that a patient needs immediate medical attention or resuscitation.
It triggers an alarm to alert nearby staff members of the emergency
It signals to all available medical personnel to respond quickly to provide patient care
Trump’s treatment of Ukraine is a Code Blue situation. Europe is rushing to succor the shooter while requiring the gunshot victim to crawl off the gurney and do jumping jacks.
Through this past week, delusion and capitulation seasoned every dispatch save one. Ellie Quinlan Houghtaling, writing for The New Republic, reported on 04 Mar 25 about comments made the day before by Lech Walesa (statesman, dissident, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate who served as the president of Poland between 1990 and 1995.) He pointed to the 1994 Budapest Memorandum and said, “These guarantees are unconditional: there is not a word about treating such aid as economic exchange.” (emphasis added)
Remember Crimea
On 05 Dec 1994, the four nuclear powers (Ukraine, Russia, United Kingdom, United States) signed four substantially identical agreements. The agreements prohibited Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States ‘from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.’ As a result of other agreements and the memorandum, between 1993 and 1996, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons.” France and China gave individual assurances in separate documents.

Putin breached the Budapest memorandum in 2014 with his invasion and annexation of Ukraine's Crimea in February and March of that year.[6][7] That act of aggression marked the beginning of the Russo-Ukrainian War. There was no question about who was the bad guy or what to do about the crime. The US, UK and France provided Ukraine with financial and military assistance, and imposed economic sanctions on Russia, while ruling out "any direct interventions to avoid a direct confrontation with Russia".[6] Additionally, in March of 2014, the Group of Eight nations suspended Russia from its intergovernmental political and economic forum. Russia formally withdrew from the organization in June of 2018. During his first term in office Trump, backed by Italy, advocated for Russia’s reinstatement. Members rejected the proposal and Putin expressed no interest in it.
Stay mindful that G7 is the organization counterbalancing the influence of BRIC-S.
Current G7 members are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States; additionally, the European Union (EU) is a "non-enumerated member". G7 is organized around shared values of pluralism, liberal democracy, and representative government.[1][2][3] G7 members are major IMF advanced economies. Current members of BRIC S are Brazil, Russia, India, and China. South Africa was granted membership in the political and economic organization. Mexico and South Korea are seeking membership. Look at the memberships of the two organizations. Putin is playing Trump for a fool. While Trump is playing the G7 like a cheap tin whistle at an Arkansas hoedown. China is thrilled.
Stop the Bleeding
In a medical emergency, stopping loss of blood is a critical first step to stabilize an injured patient. If direct pressure is not sufficient, a tourniquet may be required. It is action taken to prevent a bad situation from getting worse.
Open Note to G7
Trump and Putin each are a grievous wound to the body of liberal political thinking and practice.
It is important that you quit thinking about rearming yourselves and concentrate on denying Trump what he most wants and needs—attention and dominance. He has done his feeble worst toward Ukraine already. The hinge of history rests upon G7 to shake itself loose from Trump’s amnesia effect. To remember its value system and embrace collective resistance to Putin’s continued defiance of international law, common decency, and the Budapest Memorandum. To refuse to legitimize the choreographed surrender of Ukraine to the Trump and Putin in the US-Ukraine meeting in Jeddah scheduled for next Wednesday, 12 Mar 25.
It is important that G7 help Ukraine refuse to surrender its autonomy, geography, and/or wealth to Putin and Trump.
Consider sanctioning, rather than pandering to, Trump. Last week, Trudeau eloquently and persuasively made a distinction between We the People and the Mad King currently despoiling the system that handed him an unrivaled opportunity for war and peace. It may be time to call his hand. To make Trump’s America First be what it really is—America Alone.
It will sting. Outside our laws, Trump will cut off the funding and suspend the security measures upon which G7 has relied (and from which it has benefited) for the past 80 years. But it will accomplish two important objectives.
1. It will avoid letting the madness of our king escape our reach.
2. It will recognize WWIII already is in effect. This time the conflict is more about bullion than bullets.
The guy is addicted to risk and considers himself a transactional genius. He also is a bully now at his most vulnerable moment of self-aggrandizement. Leave it to We the People to correct the 2024 Election problem domestically. Members of G7 and affiliates, please attend to fortifying Europe in a unified and mutually supportive manner. Europe got along without us before 06 Apr 1917. It can get along without us now.
Trump fancies himself a great negotiator. One of the most effective negotiating strategies is to leave the table. Consider having Ukraine withdraw from the US-Ukraine meeting in Jeddah. Take the meat off the menu.
Make resumption of negotiations dependent upon Trump and Putin considering Ukraine’s proposed conditions for ending 11 years of conflict:
· No “repayment” of protections provided under the Memorandum.
· Restoration of Ukraine geographic boundaries of 27 Feb 2014.
Open note to We the People Who Lost Election 2024 or Now Regret the Consequences of It
I like to read Simon Rosenberg (Hopium Chronicles). His 08 Mar 25 posting left me suspended between despair and delight.
· Despair that our congressional representatives could style Trump’s recent actions toward Ukraine as something of a temporary nature—a negotiating tactic. As opposed to the self-serving bitch fit of a deluded and delusional, double-dealing autocratic wannabe.
· Delight that senators Thune, Graham, Cornyn, and Collins are showing signs of life and expressing concern, however distastefully wrapped in careful partisan phrasing.
Public outrage, outcry, and action is working. Keep resisting. Stay engaged and vocal.
We the People have four short days to apply enough pressure to the domestic political pipes to help Trump save face and cease fanning the flames of war. Our immediate and urgent objective is to convince Trump it is in his own best interest to instruct Steve Witkoff to accept Zelenskyy’s “regret” over the Oval Office debacle as sufficient (AND COMPLETE) to satisfy the Mad King’s wounded ego.
Trump then is free to declare a peace-keeping victory by immediately releasing impounded funds and restoring suspended intelligence assistance (including lifting blocks on access to otherwise commercially available satellite data.)
Continue. With your person and your purse, every day in every legal way delay, disrupt, deny, dismantle, and destroy implementation of the Project 2025 playbook.
Be constant and loud in the face and the ear of elected representatives at every level of governance. Remind them that they have sworn to protect We the People from enemies domestic and foreign. We’ve got some of those for sure. Urge them to resist chaos, corruption, and self-serving cruelty. Require them:
· To be true to oaths of office or face recall by referendum action. We the People demand value for our tax dollars. Preserve and protect us.
· To deliver on promises. Walk internationally (Ukraine)and chew gum domestically (price of eggs, gas, health care, housing, and borrowing).
Heads up.
Hearts strong.
Will faithful and focused.
Persist.
Prevail.
That government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish on our watch.
